Joseph Chiedu Ugbo is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited. Prior to his appointment, he was the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Power Privatisation in the Office of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He was also the Acting Head of the Advisory Power Team in the Office of the Vice President.
Chiedu is an Electric Energy Law specialist. He qualified as a lawyer over 30 years ago, and possesses an extensive experience in electricity industry reform, power project documentation and privatisation. He served as an embedded legal consultant to the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) where he participated actively in electric power reforms and in negotiating and concluding several successful privatisation transactions. He also acted as a counsel in the transaction advisory team to BPE where he actively contributed to and coordinated the legal work stream for the privatisation of 20 successor electricity companies created out of the erstwhile utility in Nigeria - Power Holding Company of Nigeria Limited.
Prior to joining the Presidency, he was engaged under the USAID Power Africa Transaction and Reform Program as an embedded adviser to Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc (NBET) providing legal support in the development of electric power contracts including power purchase agreements and related credit support documentation.
He was appointed as the Managing Director/CEO of NDPHC in June 2016 and despite the cash flow challenges in the Power Sector in Nigeria, he has progressively improved operations and maintenance practices of over 3,000MW National Integrated Power Projects (NIPP) which is the biggest power infrastructure by a single entity (NDPHC). Chiedu Ugbo is one of the few successful cross-over professionals who has been able to successfully balance bureaucracy and the need for delivery, which enabled him to pioneer the bilateral and eligible contracting programme to ensure improved utilization and offtake of NIPP power plant despite the grid/network challenges that have seen many power plant capacities stranded in the country. He led his team to deploy 20,000 units of Solar Home System (SHS) across the country in his conviction that poor and underserved are also entitled to electricity. He is also presently leading a team that is deploying 100,000 units Solar Home System (SHS) under the Federal Government's economic sustainability plan.
Despite his background as a legal practitioner, he is fondly referred to as an "Engineer" due to his astute knowledge of the power industry.
Chiedu holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree and a Master of Laws degree both from University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos. He also holds a Diploma in International Legal Practice from The College of Law of England and Wales; a Certificate in Electricity Industry Restructuring from Canadian Energy Research Institute, Calgary, Canada and a professional certification as Certified Regulation Specialist, from Institute for Public-Private Partnerships, Washington D.C., USA in conjunction with WEDC, Loughborough University UK.

Engr. IfeOluwa Oyedele, Executive Director (Networks), Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited.
IfeOluwa's career spans engineering management, manufacturing, construction, venturing, governance and engineering consulting from 1982 till date, Oyedele has worked in both the public and private sectors. He started his career with DAFEC Consultants as an engineer whose responsibility was to design and prepare tenders for rural electrification projects as well as supervising and monitoring the implementation of the projects. He proceeded to Oyo State Ministry of Works and Transport where he served for two years with similar responsibilities as his previous job. He headed the sales department of Dynapower Nigeria Limited for the next two years after which he consulted for Edison Group and Partners where he designed electrical engineering projects and services per clients' briefs and terms and also supervised project executions.
Engr. Oyedele's innovative and leadership skills later saw him serve in a number of executive capacities in some bluechip companies carrying out cutting edge businesses in Nigeria between 1987 and 1991. As Executive Director/Chief Operating Officer, Oyedele set the companies business and strategic agenda, negotiated contracts and ensured quality and standard of jobs are maintained.
Until his appointment with Niger Delta Power Holding Company on September 1, 2016, Oyedele was the Managing Director of Matcom Limited. A very successful construction company he set up and run since 1992. He has also been actively involved as a political organiser and canvasser, exclusively for parties and candidates that shares his sentiments and visions for Nigeria
Engr. IfeOluwa Oyedele is successful entrepreneur, a fearless yet sound politician, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree, Electrical Engineering from the University of Lagos in 1982. He is a member, Nigerian Society of Engineers and Institute of Directors. He is married with 7 children.

Babayo Shehu, FCCA, FCA, FCIT, has had professional experiences and expertise spanning over three decades, in Public Service and Banking. Mr. Shehu served in several committees and boards and had successfully led teams that implemented processes and delivered solutions that significantly impacted and influenced the accounting practice in the country. He has also participated in several management trainings from reputable academic institutions around the world across financial and organizational management, process control, policy management and implementation among others. He is recognised with several awards and merits for his insightful contributions and service to the profession.
He started his professional career in 1981 with Bauchi State Development Board where he ended up as the head of the Finance and Accounts Department. He proceeded to the Banking sector and was in FBN( Merchant Bankers) Limited from 1990 to 2003 where he headed the Finance & Administration, Operations and Treasury Departments at various times. He ended his Banking career as the General Manager/Head of Enterprise Risk Management Department. He moved on to serve in the pool of Accountants in the Office of the Accountant- General of the Federation(OAGF) where he rose to the position of Director. He held the position of Director (Funds) in the OAGF and Director (Finance & Accounts) in the Federal Ministry of Defence from where he retired in December 2014.
Babayo Shehu is a first class honors Bachelor of Science degree graduate of Accounting from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in June 1980. He also attended the London School of Accountancy and Slough College of Higher Education, where he Qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants UK, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.

Mr. Mohammed Mahmud, Executive Director (Legal Services), Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited.
Mohammed Mahmud is an excellent legal practitioner with over three decades of experience in legal practice mainly in the energy and banking industry. He is a seasoned corporate and commercial attorney with excellent negotiation, business planning, management, leadership and risk management skills. He is someone who sees an opportunity in an organisation, brings them together into a coherent whole, helps others extend their thinking, and drives business advantage. He is respected as a credible voice in decision making, finding strategic financing partners and establishing governance boundaries.
Currently, as Executive Director (Legal Services and Company Secretary) at Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC), he ensures that the organisation follows relevant laws, regulations and business rules in all its operations. He superintends overall operations and business transactions following all relevant legal and internal rules. Previously, as General Manager (Company Secretary/Legal Adviser) at the NDPHC, he provided advice on legal and regulatory matters and guided the NDPHC towards operating at the highest standards of corporate compliance with statutory legal and financial responsibilities. He is the Chairman of the NDPHC Eligible Customer/Bilateral Contract Drive and was a Member of the Joint Working Group of the NDPHC/NCP governing structure for the sale of 80% shares of NDPHC in 10 Power Plants, and Member of the NDPHC team negotiating the transfer of over $1 Billion NDPHC investment in distribution assets to the 11 Distribution Companies in Nigeria.Prior to joining NDPHC, he was a member of the National Technical Working Group (NTWG) on Business Environment and Competitiveness (NV2020) that was saddled with the responsibility of developing a National Policy on Business Environment and Competitiveness for the Federal Government. Between January 2009 to June 2010, he served as the Secretary of Corporate Services Business Support Group. His legal experience also spans over 20 years in the banking industry where he led many teams in the commercial bank, particularly First Bank where he rose to the position of Principal Manager and Assistant General Manager at New Africa Merchant Bank Plc. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association; the Nigerian Institute of Management; the International Bar Association, London, United Kingdom; and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, United Kingdom. Mrs. Nkechiyelu Mba, Executive Director (Corporate Services), Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited.
Mrs Nkechi Mba is a seasoned professional with over 30 years’ experience drawn from the corporate and public sectors. Her areas of expertise include Human Resources Management, Project Management, Governance, International Development, Administration, Organizational Development, Procurement, Stakeholder management and Financial Management.
She obtained a degree in Law from Imo State University (Now Abia State University) in 1987 and preceded to the Nigerian Law School to obtain her B.L. (Hons.). She was called to the Nigerian Bar Association in 1988. Mrs Mba has worked in reputable organizations such as the Niger Gas Ltd where she served as the Company Secretary/ Head, Administration. She was also a Managing Partner with Roselake & Cole. This provided her the platform to implement international development programmes in education, sustainable development funded by notable donors such as the World Bank, Department for International Development (DFID), UNDP, UNICEF and some State Governments. As a result of the high professionalism and commitment demonstrated on the job, she was head hunted and invited by C.F.B.T. (Britain) to partner in a successful bid for a DFID-funded Universal Basic Education (UBE) project aimed at improving the quality of educational standards by building the capacities of teachers, education managers, and heads of schools.
Her efforts in the development sector did not go unnoticed as she was given several opportunities by the Federal Government of Nigeria to serve on the Board of some government agencies including the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and Nigerian Mobile Telecommunications Ltd (M-Tel). In 2009, Mrs Mba joined the services of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company as Head, Administration and was promoted as the General Manager, Administration and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) in 2011. Based on her exceptional performance, she was redeployed to the Procurement department in 2016 where she strengthened the systems, structures and ensured that the procurement activities, projects initiated and implemented for generation, transmission, distribution and other support services were in compliance with the regulatory requirements of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) and the Procurement Act.Mrs Mba was appointed as the Executive Director, Corporate Services in October 2020 by President Muhammadu Buhari representing the South East geopolitical zone. She is responsible for supervising and managing the operations and strategic functions of the Commercial, Admin & HSE, Expediting & Logistic and Human Resources Departments respectively.

Mr. Kassim Abdullahi, Executive Director (Generation), Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited.
Engr.Abdullahi Kassim is a Power Generation expert in the Power Sector space with vast experience in various Power systems across the value chain and a strong set of skills spanning across; Project development and execution, Contract management, Business finance and Customer management strategies.Prior to his appointment as Executive Director Generation for Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) on 12th October 2020 by President Muhammadu Buhari with the mandate to efficiently manage the power generation assets of NDPHC with installed base capacity of more than 4,000MW (the biggest power generation company in Nigeria) Engr. Kassim has gained more than 15 – years of experience in the industry working across different power generation fleets, among which are Heavy Duty and Aeroderivative power generation turbines with hands-on experience and trainings by major OEM’s (GE, Alstom and Siemens). Abdullahi has a very strong technical competency on turbomachinery maintenance having worked as a Field Service Engineer (Mechanical) with Alstom Power (Switzerland) covering all Legacy Alstom fleets across North West Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, Libya, Morocco, Ivory Coast and Algeria). He obtained his trainings and certifications on Repairs/Maintenance of Legacy Alstom fleet Gas turbines at Alstom training facility, Birr, in Switzerland. He was also a trained and certified Gas Turbine Technical Advisor by General Electric with responsibities for planning and execution of maintenance schedule across General Electric (GE) fleet for both Heavy Duty and Aeroderivative power generation plants. He was trained on Aeroderivative Gas Turbine maintenance and customer management at GE Repairs/Learning centre, Houston Texas, USA. He also worked as a Mechanical Field Engineer at Dangote (Obajana) power plant in Lokoja, Kogi Nigeria. His most recent job was a Senior Contract Performance Manager with General Electric (GE) Gas Power business (Sub-Saharan Africa) responsible for repositioning key customers portfolio in Nigeria and South Africa. His key portfolio includes: SPDC – Afam 6 IPP, Dangote Power Plants, NDPHC NIPP, First Independent Power Ltd, Agip – Okpai IPP etc. Additionally, he supported maintenance execution excellence for customers in other Sub-Sahara African countries. Abdullahi obtained his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bayero University Kano (BUK) in November 2006 and have a master’s degree (MSc) in Thermal Power with specialization in Rotating Machinery Engineering and Management from Cranefield University, United Kingdom (UK) in September 2013. Engr. Kassim is an active member of several professional bodies both locally and internationally which includes COREN, NSE, IDGTE, ASME IGTI, IMechE. He hails from Kano state and is happily married with 4 kids.
